Three held for murder

Three people, including two brothers, were arrested on Thursday for the murder of a burglar. Wadi police arrested the trio who had stoned to death Suraj Dongre over past enmity on April 19. Dongre, against whom there are several offences of thefts and burglary, was repeatedly assaulted with stones between Ramabai chowk and Ambazari. Later on, they took an injured Dongre to Ambazari Lake and pushed him in to make sure that he died.Police arrested Mayur Raut and his elder brother Dhananand along with their accomplice Ritesh Gupta for the murder. Another accomplice, who has been identified as Pravin, is yet to be nabbed.According to sources, victim Dongre had a tiff with Mayur a month ago. After the fighting, Dongre would often abuse and intimidate Mayur. On a couple of occasions, Dongre had thrashed Mayur too.Fed up with the harassment, Mayur and his elder brother Dhananand along with their friends hatched a plot. The brothers lured Suraj promising him a big haul from a burglary that they were going to carry out. After meeting at Ramabai chowk in Wadi, the four started heading towards the place were the said burglary was to be done. As soon as they reached the place, Raut brothers and their friends started assaulting Dongre.Police said that the matter came to fore after an informer passed on the information to Wadi police. The culprits confessed to the crime during interrogation.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly penetrating two 12-year-olds and possessing child pornography of the preteen girls.  The boy appeared before Kalgoorlie Children's Court on Thursday after allegedly filming a sex act in the town of Goldfields in Kalgoorie, Western Australia, in October last year.
