Ohio private school EXPELS students because their moms launched campaign against woke curriculum and Critical Race Theory - but principal insists they breached contract promising a 'positive relationship'

An Ohio private school has expelled three students whose moms led a coalition campaigning against Critical Race Theory being taught to their children. Columbus Academy sent a letter to parents Andrea Gross and Amy Gonzalez informing them that their children will not be reenrolled at the school, where tuition fees cost up to $30,000 a year. The school said Gross and Gonzalez leveled 'false and misleading attacks' on the school and its leadership through their 'inflammatory' campaign, including making claims that students were being subjected to bomb sniffing dogs on campus. Their actions amounted to a breach of their contract with the institution in which both parties promise to nurture a 'positive and constructive working relationship'. Gross had two children enrolled in the school while Gonzalez had one, with the two moms slamming the school for punishing their children for the activism of their parents.    Andrea Gross and Amy Gonzalez were told their childr

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau denounces toppling of statues of Royals in protest at deaths of 1,000 indigenous children as head of Queen Victoria is recovered from river

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday denounced the burning and vandalism of Catholic churches  and statues of Royals that has followed the discovery of unmarked graves and former schools for Indigenous children. Several Catholic churches have recently been vandalized or damaged in fires following the discovery of more than 1,100 unmarked graves at the sites of three former residential schools run by the church in British Columbia and Saskatchewan that generations of Indigenous children had been forced to attend. The nation also saw a series of attacks Thursday - Canada Day - on statues of Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth II and other historical figures. Trudeau, himself a Catholic, said he understands the anger many people feel toward the federal government and Catholic church. The government has apologized for the schools and Trudeau has called on Pope Francis, too, to make a formal apology. 'It's real and it is fully understandable given the shameful history we ar

Controversial Loudoun County School District spent $34K on Critical Race Theory coaching for staff, documents reveal - despite insisting it has NO plans to teach the curriculum to students

A Virginia school district has spent more than $34,000 on Critical Race Theory coaching for its staff despite insisting it has no plans to teach the curriculum to students, according to newly-released documents. An invoice, obtained by a parent through a freedom of information request and first reported by Fox News, reveals Loudoun County School Public Schools paid out $34,167 to equity consulting firm The Equity Collaborative in June 2020. The payment was for coaching between the months of May and June that year, including 25 hours worth of coaching support for the county's director of equity which alone cost more than $15,000.  The newly-obtained documents also include some of the coaching material used in the sessions such as a 'motivational framework for culturally responsive teaching' which critics point out focuses only on African American and Latino students and excludes children of all other ethnicities.    The revelation comes as Loudoun County has found itself at

Hundreds of people die across Pacific Northwest and Canada with at least 79 dead in Oregon alone after catastrophic heatwave during which temperatures hit 115F

Hundreds of people died across the Pacific Northwest and Canada with at least 79 dead in Oregon alone after the catastrophic heatwave from last Friday to Tuesday during which temperatures hit 115F. Many of the dead were found alone, in homes without air conditioning or fans. Some were elderly - one as old as 97. The body of an immigrant farm laborer was found in an Oregon nursery. As forecasters warned of a record-breaking heat wave in the Pacific Northwest and western Canada last weekend, officials set up cooling centers, distributed water to the homeless and took other steps.  The historically scorching temperatures were the result of a high-pressure jet stream known as a 'heat dome,' which essentially trapped the hot weather in place.  The death toll in Oregon alone reached 79, the Oregon state medical examiner said Thursday, with most occurring in Multnomah County, which encompasses Portland. In Canada, British Columbia's chief coroner, Lisa Lapointe, said her office re
