REVEALED: The six-figure jobs NO ONE wants to do - despite free accommodation, cars and more enticing benefits

Farming bosses have been crying out for workers to take on key roles as the industry finally looks set for a bumper season.  But despite offering high paying jobs with sweet perks - such as free accommodation and cars - very few Australians are willing to take on those roles.  Sam Heagney, a farm manager in Mungindi on the Queensland – New South Wales border, has been struggling to attract enough staff for this year's crop.  He's hoping those affected by the coronavirus pandemic will start to look towards the industry, which he says can be 'very lucrative'. 'An entry level farm hand could be looking at $60,000-$80,000 a year. And it’s all upwards from there with a manager of a property on $100,000-$150,000,' he told news.com.au. 'On top of that you get housing, many get a vehicle, and we have high speed internet on the farm so we can watch Netflix quicker than the city; no problems there.'  Farming bosses have been crying out for workers to take on key r

Ex-Secret Service executive SLAMS Trump for putting agents' health at risk with his 'gratuitous and dangerous' behavior amid battle with COVID-19

A former Secret Service executive has blasted President Trump for putting 'agents' safety at risk' amid the coronavirus pandemic.  Joseph Petro, who worked for the Secret Service for 23 years and protected Ronald Reagan, penned an op-ed for The Washington Post Wednesday slamming the current Commander-in-chief for acting recklessly as he battles COVID-19.  Petro took particular issue with President Trump taking a joyride outside Walter Reed Medical Center over the weekend, during which time he was confined to a hermetically sealed car with two agents.  'Given the president's COVID-19 infection, this was a gratuitous and dangerous political exercise that needlessly exposed his Secret Service agents — as well as their families — to the potentially deadly novel coronavirus,' Petro wrote.  The ex-agent also took issue with Secret Service management for letting the President get away with such a stunt.  'Where was the Secret Service senior management? Did anyone r

Unjustified and unacceptable: NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian unleashes on her Queensland counterpart's border ban as state has just 12 hours to lock down source of new infections

New South Wales has just 12 hours to find the source of three mystery COVID-19 cases before Queensland resets the clock to reopen the border. Queensland Deputy Premier Steven Miles on Wednesday said plans to reopen the border at the end of the month may be delayed if NSW Health can't find the source of the unlinked cases by Thursday night. The border between the two states has been closed since August 8 - with Queensland setting NSW a target of 28 days of unlinked community transmission before it fully reopens. The southern state went for 12 days without a locally transmitted coronavirus case before three new cases emerged in Sydney late on Tuesday. After calling the Queensland government's expectations 'completely unrealistic' on Wednesday, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian doubled down on her rhetoric on Thursday morning.
