Hard-working tradie who died after being shot in the head while he watched TV was the 'completely innocent party' as he was caught up in a targeted attack on a home while visiting a friend
Police are hunting for the killer of an 'honest and hardworking' tradie who was shot in a wrongly targeted attack, and have released CCTV of the suspect's car.
Adrian Pacione, 20, was visiting a friend at a home in Lalor in northern Melbourne on July 18 when a group of men tried to force their way into the property at about 10.35pm.
A number of shots were fired at the Ella Court home after the men couldn't get inside and Mr Pacione was hit in the head by one of the bullets.

The third-year metal sheeting apprentice was taken to hospital but died two days later.
Three other men inside the home were uninjured and the attackers left the scene in a dark coloured car.
Police on Thursday released CCTV footage of the car driving along Lalor's Mount View Road shortly after the shooting.
Head of the homicide squad Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper believes the shooting was a targeted attack and possibly as the result of a dispute.
But police said Mr Pacione was not involved in the dispute and was at the home to support his friend after the death of a family member.
'This was a senseless act of violence and one where it appears the most serious ramifications were all felt by a completely innocent party,' Insp Stamper said in a statement.
'Adrian was an honest and hard-working third-year apprentice in sheet metal fabrication who was still very young and had his whole life ahead of him.'
Insp Stamper said police were doing everything they could to track down those responsible for Mr Pacione's death.

'Today is a warning for them - we know there are people in the community who have information to provide us, who are going to see this and understand that an innocent young man has died for nothing,' he said.
'This is the opportunity for those men to come forward and speak to police.'
Insp Stamper urged 'anyone who does have any information about those responsible to come forward.'
He called on anyone who had information about the vehicle, its owners, or saw the vehicle in the area to contact police.
Police would also like to speak with anyone who may still have CCTV or dash cam footage of the incident.
Police have urged anyone with information about the attack (CCTV pictured) to come forward
