Brits are being urged to open their windows every 10 minutes to get rid of Covid-19 lingering in their homes this winter in Government's new video campaign

The Government is urging people to open their windows every 10 minutes this winter to curb the spread of the coronavirus.   Experts say ventilation will be more important in the winter as people spend the majority of time indoors where they breathe in recycled air. Covid-19 spreads when small virus particles exhaled by carriers - either through their breath, a cough or sneeze - is inhaled by someone else. The virus thrives in enclosed spaces where fresh air is scarce.  A film has been launched as part of the Hands, Face, Space campaign, which illustrates how viral particles can be washed away using fresh air from outside. Number 10 is also encouraging people to use extractor fans in the bathroom or kitchen to remove parts of the virus. Scientists advising the Government warned in October that virus transmission may increase by up to a third during the winter because offices and schools are poorly ventilated.  They said offices and schools should have 'ventilation purges' by ope

Donald Trump LOSES key court case claiming poll watchers could not see votes in Philadelphia - as Rudy Giuliani appears in federal court to claim Democrats has 'nationwide fraud' to steal election

Pennsylvania's Supreme Court ruled Tuesday against Donald Trump's presidential campaign's complaint that observers weren't allowed close enough to observe the electoral count in a state that provided a crucial 20 electoral votes to President-elect Joe Biden. The 5-2 decision ruled that Pennsylvania counties could determine the particulars of election observers, and that state law only required they be 'in the room' when votes are counted. The ruling came minutes after Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani appeared in federal court to allege a nationwide conspiracy of widespread voter fraud.   The state supreme court found that restrictions that Philadelphia election officials put in place 'were reasonable in that they allowed candidate representatives to observe the Board conducting its activities as prescribed under the Election Code.' Among the evidence cited were claims made in the campaign's own witness statements, including by a lawyer who served as an obs

A Good Samaritan stopped a man from attempting to kidnap a baby out of its stroller in broad daylight at a New York City park by using his martial arts skills to pin him down.   On Monday around 3pm Brian Kemsley was walking with his girlfriend at Madison Square Park in Manhattan when he saw a man trying to grab a stroller away from a woman. The man was asked to let go of the stroller but repeatedly reached for the baby as the terrified mother was holding another toddler. 'He was saying things like, "How do you know it’s her baby, this could be my baby,"' Kemsley recalled to PIX11. Ohio's Republican Gov Mike DeWine has issued a three-week curfew on businesses as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations surge to record highs across the state.  The curfew, which will take effect from Thursday, means retail businesses will have to close between 10pm to 5am every night for 21 days.     Grocery stores and pharmacies are exempt from the curfew shutdown.  Restaurants must close for indoor dining by 10pm but can remain open after the curfew for takeout and delivery.  Violation of the curfew could result in a $750 fine.  DeWine said the measure was needed to reduce cases and stop the state's hospitals from being overrun.  Ohio's Republican Gov Mike DeWine has issued a three-week curfew on businesses as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations surge to record highs across the state There has been a sharp uptick in cases and hospitalizations in Ohio since mid-October. Comic-book baddie Dominic Cummings gets a bashing from the Beano as children's magazine releases first pullout section for adults

Some feel he was a menace of Dennis-style proportions in No 10 and few doubt he has the guile of Roger the Dodger. So perhaps there’s no more fitting place for Dominic Cummings, after his dramatic exit from Downing Street clutching a cardboard box, than in the pages of The Beano.  In the first pull-out section specially for grown-ups in its 82-year history, the kids’ comic lampoons Boris Johnson’s former special adviser for his infamous 520-mile round trip to County Durham. In the eight-page BeanOLD inside today’s issue, Mr Cummings is depicted bemoaning the late arrival of Santa in Beanotown with the words: ‘It’s like he thinks the rules don’t apply to him!’  He is also shown clutching ‘directions to Barnard Castle’ as he is given the role as a getaway driver to Dennis the Menace’s enemy Wilbur Brown, the mayor of Beanotown and father of Walter the Softy, who is trying to steal all the Christmas presents. They are foiled when police give Mr Cummings a ticket for driving without glasse
