Code red for humanity: World must 'wake up' and act to curb climate change before it's too late, says Britain after devastating UN report

Labour's bid to halt 'racist' flight to deport 50 criminals: Two child rapists and a murderer are among those on Jamaica jet that some MPs want grounded

Child rapists are among criminals due to be deported to Jamaica tomorrow – despite Labour politicians campaigning to keep them in Britain. The Home Office is attempting to fly out up to 50 Jamaican nationals, including a murderer and a paedophile who raped a girl under 16. A third was also convicted of raping a child, the Daily Mail can reveal. A fourth served a jail term for attempted murder while a fifth was convicted of multiple rapes of adults, with others guilty of violent crimes. But Labour MPs called for the flight to be stopped and claimed most of the criminals were 'non-violent'. Former shadow home secretary Diane Abbott described the use of the flights as a 'racist dragnet'. She said: 'The Home Office justification for these flights is that the people being deported are all dangerous criminals. 'It is true that they have all broken the law. But most have been convicted for non-violent drug offences and four got deportation orders for their first and on

'Hardworking families can't keep their doors open': Karl Stefanovic unleashes on Josh Frydenberg over the little help NSW businesses are receiving during lockdown

Josh Frydenberg has defended his Covid-19 financial support packages after Karl Stefanovic told him family businesses were struggling to keep their doors open. During this year's coronavirus outbreaks the Federal Government has refused to bring back the JobKeeper wage subsidy scheme, instead paying up to $750 a week directly into the bank accounts of locked down Australians who lose work. Mr Frydenberg has also agreed with go halves with states on business support measures which include a 40 per cent wage subsidy in NSW - but Today show hosts Allison Langdon and Karl Stefanovic said companies needed more help.   A record store is picture closed due to lockdown in the central business district of Sydney 'We have spoken to business across the country and they need wage support and they say it is not enough,' Langdon said in an interview with the Federal Treasurer on Tuesday morning.  'You have some people who have applied for help and haven't received a cent yet.

Anna Wintour gives Biden administration another fawning profile: Jen Psaki discusses press room 'alligators', marriage and her red bob in 3,500 word Vogue feature with Annie Liebovitz photo shoot

White House press secretary Jen Psaki described how her media briefings can become like 'wrestling alligators' in a glowing profile with Vogue magazine, where she revealed how long she'll stay on the job and why she doesn't like to be called nice. Photographed by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, the 3,500-word article is featured in the September issue of the magazine, a month after Jill Biden graced the cover.  Leibovitz was first spotted taking photos of Psaki in the press room on June 3. Psaki, 42, said that President Joe Biden emphasized with her the importance of 'tone' when she took the job as most public face of his administration.  'The first thing he said to me was 'We need to be aligned on tone,' or, really, he needs me to be aligned with him,' she told Vog

Revealed: The dossier that shows ministers MUST think again on Geronimo as it emerges nine slaughtered alpacas and llamas 'had no TB in post-mortem'

At least nine other alpacas and llamas have been killed in circumstances similar to doomed Geronimo's before post-mortem analysis showed they did not have bovine tuberculosis, a bombshell dossier claims. The document seen by the Daily Mail details a string of cases in which tests on the living animals came back positive for bTB. But in every case the animals were shown to have no presence of the disease after they were slaughtered. The camelids – five llamas and four alpacas – were found to have tested positive on Enferplex blood tests, the same used by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on Geronimo. The document shows the camelids had been repeatedly dosed with tuberculin, a primer for bTB tests. Campaigners claim the use of the primer boosts antibodies to produce a false positive result.
