Australian entertainment legend Jeanne Little dies aged 82 - as her heartbroken daughter pays tribute with a touching photo to the popular Gold Logie winner who coined the phrase 'hello darling'

Gold Logie winner and Australian entertainer Jeanne Mitchell has died Gold Logie winner Jeanne Mitchell, better known as Jeannie Little, has died at the age of 82.  The TV personality's daughter, Katie, announced the heartbreaking news on Saturday evening.  'My mother has left the earthly plane,' she wrote on Facebook, alongside a photo of her as a young child sitting on her mother's lap.  'This is a huge shock – but I'm so grateful. Love you all my friends.'  Little made her television debut on The Mike Walsh Show in 1974 and won a Gold Logie for the most popular TV personality in 1976.   She also coined the popular phrase, 'hello darling'.    The beloved entertainer retired from the spotlight after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2009.  The TV personality's daughter, Katie, announced the news on Saturday evening. Former chief rabbi of Great Britain Lord Jonathan Sacks has died at the age of 72. The highly esteemed cross-bench peer announced he was undergoing treatment for cancer in October.  A statement on his Twitter page said he died on Saturday morning. The head of Boris Johnson's vaccine taskforce has billed the taxpayer £670,000 for a team of boutique PR consultants to oversee her media strategy. Kate Bingham, 55, has already spent £500,000 on eight full-time consultants from Admiral Associates - with the  team contracted until the end of the year.  The costs involved mean that each consultant is on the equivalent of a £167,000 a year salary, according to leaked documents.  It is understood that the team help Ms Bingham to draft statements and prepare for media appearances.  Kate Bingham, 55, has already spent £500,000 on eight full-time consultants from Admiral Associates - with the team contracted until the end of the year Concerns had been raised that hiring the eight consultants would duplicate the work of more than 100 communications staff already working in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Three more towns will begin mass Covid testing for all residents this week after 'Moonshot' plan got under way in Liverpool

Three more towns will soon introduce mass testing schemes in a bid to tackle coronavirus - after Liverpool's city-wide swabbing programme launched earlier this week. The Prime Minister will announce that more than 100,000 people will be told to get tested in the three towns, including one in the Midlands and another in the south of England.  Boris Johnson has ordered the mass-swabbing in an attempt to identify asymptomatic people - those with the virus who don't show symptoms - so they can self isolate and drive down infection rates.
