Billionaire investor Leon Black knew about Jeffrey Epstein's 2007 child prostitution conviction when he started doing business with him, but thought the pedophile deserved a 'second chance', documents have revealed.  Black stepped down from Apollo Global Management on Monday after an internal investigation revealed he had sanctioned $158million in payments to Epstein from the firm between 2012 and 2017 for his financial expertise.  The investigation was ordered in October last year but it's unclear what prompted it.  The report from that investigation was released on Thursday along with the announcement that Black was stepping down It reveals that Black estimated that Epstein made the firm between $1billion and $2billion after advising on 'a variety of topics related to trust and estate planning, tax issues, philanthropic endeavors, and the operation of the family office.'  It also gives more details of the pair's friendship, and how Black wanted to give Eps

Melbourne's 'Invasion Day' protests turn violent AGAIN as far-right protesters wearing 'Proud Boys' shirts and decked out in Aussie flag capes clash with those who want Australia Day abolished

An 'Invasion Day' protest in Melbourne turned ugly after a man donning a 'Proud Boys' t-shirt and Australian flag cape clashed with furious protesters - before being dragged out of the city in handcuffs. Thousands of protesters congregated outside parliament on Spring Street on Tuesday for a socially distanced march, joining many thousands more around the country. In bizarre scenes, protest organisers refused to kick off the event until the masses broke themselves into groups of 100 and moved along Bourke Street due to coronavirus restrictions limiting gathering numbers. The protest nearly finished incident-free until a scuffle kicked off between a group of Australia Day protesters and a man wearing a 'Proud Boys' t-shirt. The Proud Boys are a far-right organisation in America, associated with the recent storming of the Capitol building in Washington DC, who believed white men are under threat - even proudly calling themselves 'Western chauvinists'.   A

The layoffs last week, which were first reported by the New York Times, were confirmed by an Uber spokesperson speaking to DailyMail.com on Tuesday. Postmates founder and CEO Bastian Lehman will also be departing the company after a period of consulting on the transition, though he was not among the layoffs, Uber confirmed.  Postmates and Uber's delivery service Uber Eats will maintain separate branding and apps, but their backend functions will be increasingly integrated, likely making many roles redundant. Moment maskless conspiracy theorist tries to take dying elderly Covid patient home from hospital acute care unit against doctors' orders before he is dragged out by security guards

This is the moment a maskless conspiracy theorist tries to take a dying elderly Covid patient home from a hospital ward against doctors' orders, before he is dragged out by security guards. Tobe Hayden Leigh launched a tirade of foul-mouthed abuse as he was frogmarched from the acute respiratory care unit at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, after apparently sneaking in to collect a loved one who wanted to leave. Joined by others close to the patient, the intruder filmed a team of medics - who were working tirelessly to save the pensioner's life - and insisted he be discharged, despite a doctor warning he could 'drop dead at any minute'. Insisting he was the patient's 'McKenzie friend' - an untrained legal helper - he asks for the patient to be taken off oxygen, despite his seriously low levels, and ignored repeated requests to leave during the fiery 20-minute row.  When Mr Leigh and the others with the patient were told they were putting themselves and other
