More than 190,000 ceiling fans sold at Home Depot are being recalled after reports that the blades fell off while spinning, hitting people and causing property damage. The Hampton Bay Mara indoor and outdoor ceiling fans were sold this year between April and October at Home Depot stores and its website.  About 182,000 of them were sold in the U.S. and 8,800 were sold in Canada. They cost about $150. More 190,000 ceiling fans sold at The Home Depot have been recalled amid reports its blades can detach while in use and cause injury or property damage The fans were available exclusively at The Home Depot with about 80,000 fans were sold to customers.  The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said it received 47 reports of the blades falling off, two reports of people being hit by them and four reports of the blades causing property damage. One worker was killed and another suffered grave injuries after a brick retaining wall collapsed in Brooklyn this afternoon. A construction crew were working at a building site located at 454 42nd Street near 5th Avenue in the Sunset Park neighborhood when the wall collapsed at 1.30pm, according to a spokesperson for the Department of Buildings. Most Australians will be vaccinated against coronavirus by October, Greg Hunt said on Monday. The federal health minister said the first vaccine to be approved in late January will likely be the Pfizer jab which is already being rolled out the US, UK and European Union.  The AstraZeneca and Novavax vaccines are expected to be approved by Australian regulators shortly after, with the first jabs hitting Aussie arms by March.
