Illegal mining still rampant in Alwar, 45 dumpers seized

Despite Supreme Court's orders, illegal mining still continues to persist in Alwar. On Wednesday morning, 45 dumpers used for illegal mining were seized during a joint crack down illegal mining by teams of district police and RTO. While the dumper drivers managed to flee, the police managed to arrest one person.Illegal mining is rampant in Tapukara in Bhiwadi, Neemrana, Chopanki, Tijara, Gwalda, Udhanvas, Kahrani in Alwar district. Everyday, several dumpers ferry illegally mined stones in broad daylight owing to the nexus between the police officials, mining department officials and the district administration.In a bid to check illegal mining, a meeting was convened last week under the chairmanship of the chief secretary and a task force was constituted to check illegal mining in Bhiwadi.
