Rioters used walkie talkie app Zello to storm Capitol as the site cancels 2,000 channels linked to militias amid fears it will now be used to target Biden's inauguration

Walkie talkie app Zello has been forced to cancel 2,000 channels after it emerged the site was used by militias who stormed the Capitol last week.

Audio and chat records obtained by The Guardian show how users discussed their locations on an open thread called STOP THE STEAL J6. At least five channels were made specifically for organize for January 6, the paper adds.

One insurrectionist, identified as Ohio bartender Jessica Watkins, 38, says: 'We are in the main dome right now. We are rocking it. They're throwing grenades, they're frickin' shooting people with paintballs, but we're in here.'

In reply the female rioter is told to 'keep going' and 'do your s***'. One voice adds: 'This is what we f***ing lived up for. Everything we f***ing trained for.'

The app, which is home to hundreds of far-right channels, said Wednesday it was 'prepared to take action' amid fears it will now be used to target Joe Biden's inauguration next week.

In another clip a woman is heard saying: 'We have a good group: 30 to 40 of us. We're sticking together and sticking to the plan. The police are doing nothing. They're not even trying to stop us.'

She is told: 'You are executing citizen’s arrest. We have probable cause: treason, acts of treason, election fraud, all kinds of felony crimes, no competent authority.'

After canceling 2,000 channels a spokesman said: 'It is with deep sadness and anger that we have discovered evidence of Zello being misused by some individuals while storming the United States Capitol building last week.

'Looking ahead, we are concerned that Zello could be misused by groups who have threatened to organize additional potentially violent protests and disrupt the US presidential inauguration festivities on January 20th.'

The FBI has warned that armed protests by violent Trump supporters were being planned in all 50 state capitals as well as in Washington for the days leading up to the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.

Trump’s impeachment trial - a result of the deadly Capitol siege - could also begin on Inauguration Day.

Another channel on the site called DC 3.0 featured instructions from a user named as Josh Ellis on how Zello would be used.

He stated: 'Once we go operational, this channel will just be for intel gathering and organizing on the backside. All information, once verified, will be put into the Telegram and then shared to boots on the ground from there.'

Other channels were set up to help with travel plans. On January 4 one user says: 'How about if all of us stand the f*** up, and take this shit back?'

Snapchat on Wednesday said it has permanently banned Trump from the platform; Facebook and YouTube have already barred him from using their sites.

Parler - the social media site favored by Trump fans -  was on Monday scrubbed from the web by Amazon and pulled from the app store by Apple and Google.

Watkins had written on that site: 'Yeah. We stormed the Capitol today. Teargassed, the whole, 9,. Pushed our way into the rotunda. Made it into the Senate even.'
