ABC announced on Wednesday (Aug. 19) that the entire gang will be back for the next season of American Idol, with Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and host Ryan Seacrest coming next year.
The band is getting together again to its fourth season of this show on ABC -- 19th overall -- following the show was made to switch things up and atmosphere liberally during the live phases of the contest as a consequence of the COVID-19 lockdown.
"American Idol has ever been able to bring individuals together, amuse and entertain -- and I am so proud of this series continued to deliver happiness and laughter to people's homes through a time once we needed it the most," said Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment in a statement. "There is no one who we feel confident about leading us into a brand new season of notes than Luke, Katy, Lionel and the incomparable Ryan Seacrest."

Producers have been looking for gift via remote virtual auditions in all 50 countries in their"Idol Across America" effort.
