Moment two Lollapalooza revelers are shoved through a Chicago hotel's plate glass window during brawl with man who sold them counterfeit tickets to the music festival

Wild video captured the moment two men were shoved through a hotel's plate glass window during an apparent brawl over counterfeit tickets to Chicago's Lollapalooza music festival.

Footage posted by a local reporter shows the two men crashing through the window of the Congress Hotel across the street from Lollapalooza's entrance in Grant Park at around 5.45pm on Sunday.

One victim, a 29-year-old man, quickly drags himself away from the hotel with his leg bloodied from shattered glass.

A 26-year-old man who allegedly pushed the victims is seen in a white t-shirt fleeing the scene. He was taken into custody late Sunday.

The suspect was accused of selling fake Lollapalooza wristbands to the two victims who then confronted him when the fight broke out.

The incident came as this year's music festival - which drew about 100,000 each day from Thursday to Sunday - was already facing fierce scrutiny over the decision to let it take place despite coronavirus concerns.

Lollapalooza's 2020 event was canceled due to COVID-19 and this past weekend marked the first major cross-genre festival to return to the US since the pandemic's start. The festival has been a Windy City staple since its debut as a touring event in 1991.

Performances feature alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock, hip hop, and electronic music. This year's headliners were Miley Cyrus, Tyler The Creator, Post Malone and the Foo Fighters.

Next year's Lollapalooza has already been scheduled to take place July 28-31 and it will be the festival's 16th year in Chicago's Grant Park.
