Two customers find disgusting 'grey matter' in their Woolworths butter chicken - as the supermarket investigates the nasty addition
Two customers have complained to Woolworths after finding 'grey matter' in their butter chicken with rice ready made meal.
One shopper, Chris, was gobsmacked by what he found when he opened the box and shared a video of himself inspecting the meal on Saturday.
'Why the f*** does it look like that?' he asked no one in particular in the Facebook video, zooming in on the frightening mass.
'It's kind of frightening.'
He then put the meal on a plate and took a photo of it for his social media followers to gawk at.
'Yeah no... thanks Woolworths. Zero chance I am eating that,' he wrote.
The microwaveable Indian dish featured a large clump of naked grey-brown meat all stuck together, sitting on top of the rich red sauce.

Chris said the meal looked 'frightening' and promptly threw it in the garden
Predictably, Facebook erupted in confusion and disgust, wondering what to make of the disastrous dish.
'What the hell is that,' wrote one woman.
'Looks like someone has taken a turd on top of the spew. Yuk,' wrote another.
When a third suggested he take it back, Chris said he had thrown it in the garden 'where it can't hurt anyone'.
'I didn't want to look at it any longer than I needed to in case it's capable of mind control,' he wrote.
Another shopper named Kirsty posted a picture of her Butter Chicken with Rice ready to be eaten, after heating it up at her desk at work on October 27.
The meat was covered by the sauce and so the meal did not reveal the unappetising solo chunk of grey flesh that Chris discovered.
However the discoloured chicken meat was clearly visible, resembling a darker meat in the picture.
'Gave it a stir but that chicken does not look right,' she wrote on Facebook.
Social media users quickly piled on their disapproval.
'That looks disgusting, doesn't look anything like chicken,' wrote one.
Canstar Blue consumer ratings agency reviewed Woolworths Butter Chicken with Rice in February and awarded the pre-packaged meal four out of five stars in most categories including overall satisfaction and the taste and quality of ingredients.
It also found the product to be one of the cheapest ready meals in its class at $3.50 for a 376 gram packet.
The problem has so far only been detected in two meals that Daily Mail Australia is aware of.

A Woolworths spokesperson told 7NEWS that the grocery chain is investigating with their supplier to understand why this particular batch didn't meet the usual high standards.
'We treat food quality seriously, so we're disappointed to see this,' the representative said.
'Our suppliers have a number of processes in place to ensure the highest quality products end up in our stores.'
It's not the first time Woolworths' own brand of Butter Chicken and Rice has hit the headlines.
In June an Adelaide shopper made an unusual discovery when they found a box with a use-by date of '21 October 2621'.
Over 600 years of guarantee that the chicken within would be fresh and tasty might seem a little long, and it was.
It was just a misprint, but it prompted people to crack jokes on social media.
'You'd have to wait a long time for a markdown on that one as it gets closer to its expiry date!' said one comment.
