EXCLUSIVE: BBC stars Emma Rigby and Sid Owen are accused of flouting Covid rules as they join bankers and property execs at high society Halloween party in luxury apartment overlooking Tower Bridge

EastEnders legend Sid Owen and BBC star Emma Rigby have been accused of breaking strict coronavirus rules for a raunchy high society party with bankers and property execs at a multi-million-pound apartment overlooking Tower Bridge.

The two actors were among a large group of revellers partying inside the Air BnB property hours after Boris Johnson announced a new national lockdown was coming.

Pictures showed Emma, 31, and Sid, 48, at the bash, which was hosted by US limited-edition erotica and fine arts magazine Treats.

It insisted last night it followed rules because company parties allowed up to 30 people and guests were tested as they went in.

Video of the event showed scantily clad models gyrating on a table as onlookers watched on.

Stills showed Emma, who was in a sheer bodystocking outfit as Disney's Maleficent, posing up with Treats founder Steve Shaw.

The pictures and video appeared on Shaw’s publicly viewable Instagram page as part of his stories.

A source told MailOnline:  'No-one could quite believe what they were seeing and they were hardly discreet about holding the event.

'When people found out they were very annoyed, especially with lots of people strictly obeying coronavirus rules at the moment.

'The party was also attended by a throng of public school attendees that work in property, banking and events.

'This party is disgraceful given the current economic and social climate we are in.'

Sid was also pictured with a guest as well at the bash where guests dressed as people including Prince Andrew and President Trump.

Once MailOnline attempted to make contact with him to get a comment, the content was suddenly taken down.

A spokesman for Treats said: 'It was a small company party for a few close friends, and people tested before entering along with taking every precaution to stay safe

'Most guests were on the out door terraces and not inside

'Company parties allow for 30 people so there were no rules broken.'

Emma, who is best-known for her role in Hollyoaks, had posted a picture of her costume on her publicly viewable Instagram page.

She recently won acclaim with her role in BBC Three Film Make Me Famous.

Restrictions in London are currently at the Coronavirus Tier Two settings and are designated 'high risk'

Rules state social distancing should be observed, as well as the Rule of Six outdoors and a curfew on pubs.

There is also a ban on households mixing indoors or staying overnight anywhere.

But there is a grey area in the rules in one exception that meetings of up to 30 people can be held in venues for business reasons.

It was dreamt up to help freelancers and the self-employed without office space.

Last month the 'loophole' was exploited by some restaurants opening for working lunches.

At the time the Prime Minister’s spokesman said: 'There’s an understanding that it was for people like the self-employed or freelancers who need to have face-to-face meetings but have nowhere else to hold them.'

Sid and Emma declined to comment.
