'He's The One!' Love Island's Amber Davies gushes about new beau Nick Kyriacou and insists she's 'not letting him go' after being single for over three years

At the end of September, she revealed she has a new boyfriend with a series of loved-up snaps shared to Instagram.

And now, in a new interview Amber Davies, 24, branded operations manager Nick Kyriacou, 28, 'The One' as she opened up about their relationship. 

The Love Island star gushed about new beau and insisted she's 'not letting him go' after being single for over three years, following her split from Kem Cetinay.

Of her blossoming romance with Nick, Amber told The Sun: 'I would never have taken it public if I didn't know he is The One.' 

'I haven't had a real relationship since Kem, which obviously didn't work out after Love Island. I have been by myself for three and a half years, worked by myself and been independent.

'I didn't need a man. But then Nick came along and I thought, "No, I'm not letting him go".' 

Amber admitted that lockdown has been 'a nightmare' for her career, with theatres across the country closed for safety reasons.

But, the former Love Island winner went on to assert that meeting Nick has 'turned this year around for her.'  

In September, a source told MailOnline the new couple were smitten with each other after growing close when lockdown lifted.

And now, the pair have met Amber's family together in Wales after making their relationship official.   

An insider said: 'Amber and Nick are so happy together. In the past Amber has kept her romantic life private but she's so in love with Nick.

'After meeting her family the weekend she knew it was the right time to share her new relationship with her fans.

'Nick is a normal guy who isn't in the spotlight, which is why Amber kept his Instagram profile untagged from their posts together.

Although going Instagram official, Amber did not reveal the name of her hunky love interest or any details about him.

The announcement came five months after Amber said she had sworn off dating for the foreseeable future following some advice from Dolly Parton.

The reality TV star revealed that the country legend, 74, insisted she needed to 'avoid temptation' for the time being to focus on her career as a West End star.

Amber has been single ever since she split from James Hawkins in 2018, after ending her romance with Love Island hunk Kem Cetinay.

She told The Sun at the time that she was so focused on work she didn't have time to date and she had no plans to find a new man, instead focusing on her career.  

The star is set to appear in the stage version of Bring It On alongside Olympic gymnast Louis Smith once the coronavirus lockdown is lifted.

She explained: 'It was actually Dolly Parton who first gave me the advice.

'I always thought I'd be ­settling down by now, but I went out to meet her and she warned me to avoid the temptation of romance for now and focus on my career.

'She said, ''Career first, men can wait for you'', and it turns out she was completely right.'

Amber met Dolly after playing the role of Judy in the West End adaptation of the 1980 film 9 To 5, which famously saw Dolly star and record the film's now-iconic theme song.

The reality star insisted at the time that the only man in her life is her pet pooch Oreo, who has been keeping her company during the COVID-19 lockdown. 

Amber rose to prominence in 2017 after she and then-boyfriend Kem Cetinay were crowned the winners of Love Island, but the couple split less than five months after leaving the villa.

The Welsh beauty briefly dated Essex hunk James Hawkins in 2018, and it's thought she enjoyed a few dates with One Direction star Liam Payne.

Earlier this year Amber was also hit by claims she'd had sex with Geordie Shore star Sam Gowland after being accused by his then-girlfriend Chloe Ferry, but she profusely denied the allegations.
