Deliciously Ella has welcomed her second child - a daughter called May.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the health guru, full name Ella Woodward, 29, revealed she had given birth to a baby girl at home, with her husband Matthew Mills by her side.

She wrote: 'May Mills ❤️ Arrived in the world just after midnight on the 8th October after a quick labour at home. The sweetest little soul - we’re over the moon and totally in love ❤️.'

Ella and Matthew are also parents to daughter Skye, 14 months.

On September 16, Ella revealed she had reached her due date as she shared a selfie showing off her burgeoning bump.

She penned: 'Just waiting and waddling... she’s fully baked, engaged and now we just trust her that she knows when to come and meet u'.

Ella revealed she had opted to give birth at home again after having such a positive experience with Skye.

Ella explained last year to her social media followers why the couple had chosen to plump for an alternative birth after researching hypnobirthing and water births, and described labour as 'powerful' and 'intense'.

Ella explained 'It just felt so right for us. I’d heard so many horror stories and had a lot of fear around the process, so I was really interested in exploring something a bit different if I could.'

But Ella added she thought there was no 'right or wrong way to bring a child into this world' as long as they came into it safely.

Their daughter Skye Tessa Camilla Davan Mills, was given her middle name in honour of her late mother-in-law, Labour MP Tessa Jowell.

Ella revealed she was expecting her second child back in March when she shared a sweet snap with Matthew and Skye, who was sweetly holding an ultrasound snap.

She added a caption reading: 'Skye’s going to be a big sister. We’re feeling so lucky to hold on to something so special while the world feels so topsy turvy, and whilst of course it’s a little unnerving to be navigating pregnancy in this climate...

'We are just so incredibly grateful. Like everyone else, we’re staying quietly at home, taking Austin and Skye our for a little daily walk on our own, which this morning was the quietest and emptiest I’ve ever seen London. Sending so much love to you all'.

In her announcement, Ella was referencing the current lockdown in the capital in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite being stuck at home, Ella revealed back in May that lockdown had made her pregnancy 'far easier' this time around.

She revealed: 'I’m finding pregnancy much easier in many ways under the current climate - not commuting, being able to sit really comfortably while I work at home and not getting so hot and sweaty rushing around is truly making each week so much more enjoyable and comfortable than it felt last summer.'

Alongside a cute snap cuddling Skye, she penned: 'A few days off with my best pal and growing bump.

'Skye’s been up at 5am everyday and teething all week but it’s been heaven, utter bliss to just be able to focus solely on her and not be trying to juggle as much - there’s always a feeling of being torn between the two so getting a few quiet days just to be a mama really is so special.

'We’re 22 weeks now with her sister, I’m feeling pretty good, way more energy than Skye. If she’s anything like her sister we’ll be meeting her pretty soon too, in about 16 weeks time.'

She added: 'Not the year we expected in so many ways but genuinely the best it could ever be, these girls just bring us endless sunshine and have a way of allowing us to stay present like nothing I’ve experienced before.'
