Pictured: Inside Mekhi Phifer's intimate wedding ceremony

Mekhi Phifer used to get pulses racing as Dr. Gregory Pratt on the hit NBC show ER but it was his own heart that skipped a beat over Easter Weekend.
On Sunday the actor struggled to contain his emotions as he married his long-time girlfriend Reshelet Barnes.

Saying their vows at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills, Mekhi, 38, and Reshelet both chose to wear ivory for their intimate Easter wedding.
Mekhi put on a dapper showing in a three piece suit which was made up of a silk tie and waistcoat.
The star added some tan leather shoes to give his outfit an edge.

But of course it was all about the bride Reshelet, who stunned in a strapless floor length mermaid gown that was ruched to the knee before flaring out in soft delicate layers highlighting her curves.
For the ceremony Reshelet wore a simple white fingertip length veil which she later removed for the ceremony.
Keeping her looking simple but chic, the bride wore natural looking make up, diamond drop earrings and her hair in a slicked back half up, half down style with the back section cascaded down her shoulders in loose curls.

According toE! Newsthe couple said 'I Do' in front of 100 guests in a short but personal ceremony lasting fifteen minutes.
Mekhi walked in to Stevie Wonder's Ribbon In The Sky and was flanked by his best men including one of his sons who walked the couple's Chihuahua down the aisle.

The bride kept her walk down the aisle traditional, doing so to Here Comes The Bride.
A witness to the wedding told E!: 'When she made her entrance into the courtyard, Mekhi was completely overcome with emotion and you could tell she took his breath away. He had to wipe tears from his eyes for several minutes.'

This is the actor's second time down the aisle. In 1999 Mekhi married actress Malinda Williams but after only four years their union failed to blossom and they divorced in 2003.
With Williams Phifer has son Omikaye and he welcomed his second son Mekhi Thira Phifer Jr. in 2007, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Oni Souratha.
Born in Harlem, New York City, Phifer has starred in films such as  Spike Lee’s Clockers, Paid In Full, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and 8 Mile.
