Game Of Thrones attracts record 4.4m viewers for series three debut..

They're two of the most popular TV shows around, with Brits playing the lead roles.
But it was The Walking Dead that came out on top in Sunday night's ratings battle, after going head-to-head with the new series of Game Of Thrones.
While the season three premiere lived up to expectations by netting a record 4.4m viewers, it was the zombie series finale which managed to draw in 12.4m.

While there was not much action in the Game Of Thrones premiere, it won high praise from reviewers for the way it dealt with the aftermath of last season and set up events for the future.
MSN reviewer Dan Owen said: 'Game Of Thrones feels like it has a better grasp on pacing now; the hour flew by and left you craving more.
'Interplay and intrigue continues to be this drama's forte, perhaps best embodied in Tyrion's scenes with Cersei, Bronn and Tywin; watching the acerbic old man berate Tyrion was especially compelling.

'It goes without saying that this drama is a visual feast; it looks spectacular thanks to its $5m price tag per episode, and the impressive cast are never anything less than magnificent (Peter Dinklage eats up every scene).
'A relatively sedate start to proceedings, which mainly reflected on last season's finale and teased the next wave of treacheries and struggles.
'But it was never anything less than sumptuous and absorbing.'
Meanwhile bosses at AMC were celebrating their own success after The Walking Dead's finale just beat the show's previous record viewership of 12.3 million from its February mid-season premiere.
The show also had 8.1 million adults 18-49, making it the week's top program.
