A Florida firefighter was left devastated after his unit was one of the first to respond to a fire at his very home - where he would eventually find his wife dead from the smoke and flames.
Corey Logan, a firefighter with Miami Dade Fire Rescue, had been working overtime when he got the call about the blaze at his Homestead, Florida, home.
The MDFR hadn't released much information on Twitter regarding the fire 'out of respect for the family' but eventually shared the GoFundMe made by a fellow firefighter Christopher Morales.

The fundraising campaign has raised well over $130,000 for Logan and his family.
In the GoFundMe post, Morales shared that he had been working with Corey Logan on Tuesday.
Soon after lunch, Morales shared that Logan received a Ring notification that showed his neighbor beating frantically on his front door.
Logan immediately jumped into action, Morales said, concerned about his wife - identified on social media as Rose Logan.
Arriving at the scene first, Logan and others put out the fire and found his wife dead inside. Logan had been the caretaker for his wife - identified on social media as Rose Logan

'Corey has been his wife’s caretaker for many years as she had many medical conditions,' Morales shared in the post. 'Everyday not at the Firehouse he was taking care of her like no other.'
Hopping in the rig, Logan immediately recognized the address once it came over the radio. He was the first firefighter to arrived at the scene but by then it was already the 'worst case scenario,' Morales shared.
'There was heavy smoke and fire coming from his house w his wife inside,' Morales added. 'We did our job and put the fire out and searched as fast as we could but were too late. She passed away as a result of the fire.'
He continued: 'This is a fireman's worst nightmare! Not only did he show up first to his house burning, but also lost the love of his life as a result of the fire as well. His whole world has been flipped upside down and he needs our help!'
Morales described Logan as a veteran firefighter with over 20 years and the 'heart and soul' of Station 6.
He declared: 'His energy is infectious and is hands down one of the best D/O's on the job!'
