The delivery driver had pleaded guilty to a single charge of dangerous driving at Isleworth Crown Court.

He arrived at court today using a crutch to walk, wearing a black hooded top with his face obscured by a mask.

Judge Lindsey Rose told him that custody was likely, saying ‘this is a very serious matter.’  A mix up with his pre-sentence report meant the hearing had to be put back again.

'The fact that this is being adjourned should not be taken on how the judge will deal with it,' she said. 'This is a very serious matter and custody is likely. All options are open.’

Al Husseni’s lawyer Tony Nayager told the court his client had suffered serious injuries in the high speed crash in August 2019.

He told the court he would require surgery on his knee that had been shattered in the crash and he had lost his job as a result of the injury.
