Showing the strain: A concerned-looking Luis Suarez turns to his wife

He made headlines earlier this week due to his controversial bite on Branislav Ivanovic.
But ahead of his deadline to meet with the Football Association to discuss his charges on Tuesday afternoon Luis Suarez was spotted trying to take his mind off things.
The Liverpool striker turned to his wife Sofia Balbi in his hour of need and the couple clearly decided there’s nothing better than a little food for thought as they made their way to lunch in Liverpool.

However while the lunch at San Carlo may have been intended to lighten the mood the 26-year-old seemed rather preoccupied.
Attempting to go unnoticed he wore a grey hooded jumper pulled up over his head, which he teamed with casual jeans and trainers.
He couldn’t have been missed though as he was joined by his wife who stood out in a bright pink blazer.

Looking rather glamorous she wore a pair of skintight black jeans and top with patent black heels.
Her long blonde hair was worn loose and in a side parting, while she appeared to be quite made-up.
Luis no doubt felt like Sofia was the best person to take his mind of things as she knows him better than anyone being his childhood girlfriend who became his wife in 2009.

But it seems Luis was right to be worried as when he arrived at the FA meeting later that day he accepted his charge of violent conduct.
An independent regulatory commission will now meet via video conference to decide on his punishment.
While he accepted that charge, he insisted that the three-match ban is sufficient punishment for the incident, despite the FA believing otherwise.

The FA, which had given Suarez until 6pm to answer the charge, felt a mandatory three-match ban would not be sufficient punishment for this offence and it is likely he will receive a suspension similar to the seven games he served during his time at Ajax, when he bit PSV Eindhoven’s Otman Bakkal.
Luis bit Ivanovic on the arm midway through the second half of the Liverpool vs Chelsea game on Sunday, which saw the controversial Uruguayan forward score in the 97th minute to snatch Liverpool a point.
On Monday he apologised to Ivanovic, who suffered a bruised arm from the bite, and the Chelsea defender has acknowledged the apology.
Liverpool moved quickly to deal with the latest crisis surrounding their star striker and imposed a club fine which is being donated to the Hillsborough families' support group.
