Lunch is on me! Tom Cruise has celebratory meal with friends after topping box office with Oblivion

He is once again sitting at the box office summit thanks to his latest movie Oblivion.
So no wonder Tom Cruise was smiling after enjoying a celebratory lunch with friends in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The jolly star waved at adoring fans when he emerged from his meal in the posh Brentwood area of the city.

No doubt the generous actor dug deep and treated his cohorts to a free feast as a way of sharing in his success.
The pint-sized 50-year-old was looking good for his age in a leather jacket, white T-shirt, jeans and suspiciously chunky brown shoes.
Unlike his red carpet appearances however, Tom did not have time to stop and press flesh with his fans, instead leaping into his waiting transportation.

Critics have largely dismissed Oblivion, the 'clunky' story of a drone repairman turned freedom fighter in a dystopian future.
Indeed, respected critic Tony Macklin said it was 'obviously was made with foreign distribution in mind.
'The foreign market probably won't mind that there isn't a meaningful line of dialogue in the entire film.'
However, American audiences do not seem to care either, as the film is currently number one at the box office after taking an estimated $38.2 million in its opening weekend.
