My little pony! Beth Stern brings a miniature horse to TV interview

As the wife of self proclaimed 'shock jock' Howard Stern, she is no stranger to methods of attracting publicity.
But Beth Stern was neatly upstaged by a miniature pony on Friday.
The 40-year-old TV personality brought the cute brown and white animal for an appearance on Extra where host Maria Menounos looked particularly besotted with the beast.

The pony looked a little unimpressed as he stood on stage in the middle of Los Angeles shopping mall The Grove for his close up.
Sporting a pretty patterned blue and white sundress teamed with strappy heeled sandals, Beth gave the pony a reassuring pat as she promoted her new National Geographic show Spoiled Rotten Pets.
The show, which airs on National Geographic Wild looks at owners who keep unusual animals at home and will show owners who hold wedding ceremonies for their dogs and clad their ducks in diapers so they can walk around the house.

'We have animals that viewers will be shocked to see spoiled, like turtles, ferrets and a donkey that picnics with her owner!' she added. 
'My favourites are rescue potbelly pigs Wilma and Pebbles. Their owners treat them like their children and have not spent a night apart from "their girls" in seven years.'

Howard and Beth, who married in 2008, are owners of four rescue cats and are planning to adopt a dog this summer.
'I'm 40 and don't plan on having children, so my cats are my kids,' she told People. 'I have this strong and unconditional love for them.
'Howard and I even speak to them in baby talk, and if they are sleeping with us, I won't move because I don't want to disturb them.'
