But by the looks of Keri Russell, one would never know.
The ageless actress covers the May issue of America's magazine, exposing her sexy abs and trim figure.
Her body looks as if it is the
result of extreme workouts and a calculated diet, but in her interview
with the fitness magazine, Keri made her efforts to look so incredible
seem minimal.
'One thing you would be surprised to learn about me [is] that I eat everything,' the star of The Americans admitted.
'I, I am crazy for dessert. I eat everything. No one should be denied anything.
'You should be able to have a little bit of everything, just don't eat the whole thing,' Keri advised.
She confessed to not eating
very healthfully in her younger years, though: 'I don't think I ate a
green vegetable until I was 30 - I didn't grow up with a mom who
enforced that at all.'
The actress downplayed intense workouts when asked what her number one healthy tip is, instead favouring simple exercise.
'Everyone should dance more. Everyone should walk more. I mean that's one of the great things about living in Brooklyn and in New York.
'You get to eat a big rich fatty meal but then you can walk home,' the Felicity star said.
The mother of two takes full advantage of her big city lifestyle, even figuring out a way to work out in her home.
Keri said she has 'this really nerdy workout' that she does in the walk-through closet in her brownstone.
'I do a workout video and use my own music - whatever is inspiring to me at that time, like Alabama Shakes, the Cure, or Mumford and Sons.'
Though fitness comes easily to Keri, the seemingly perfectly fit actress does admit to one thing aging has done to her body.
'I used to have a really good, plump butt,' she shared. 'Ugh - now my butt's gone. I do wish I had my 25-year-old butt!'
