Cool as cucumbers! Sophia Bush and actor Dan Fredenburgh


It's billed as one of the hottest musical festivals - literally.
Sophia Bush and actor Dan Fredenburg were among the lucky few who got a chance to take a break from the desert heat at the Coachella music festival on Friday at the Harper's Bazaar party at The Parker Hotel in nearby Palm Springs, California.

The 30-year-old actress enjoyed the chance to cool off as temperatures in the desert town soared to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
The former One Tree Hill star kept cool in a sleeveless white shift dress matched with a pair of shimmering gold Oxfords.
Among the early arrivals at the poolside fete were Katy Perry, actor-filmmaker Eli Roth and Columbian actress Lorenza Izzo, who looked ready to rock in a leggy orange top, a floral headband and fringed leather wedges.

Fans will surely be able to catch some of their favourite stars over the two-weekend event, which wraps up on April 21.
Spotted around the festival grounds on Friday were Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky, Twilight star Kellan Lutz and famous celebrity offspring Connor Cruise and Francesca Eastwood.

The annual music festival has become one of the largest U.S. music festivals, attracting more than 80,000 people to the desert town of Indio, California.
Tickets started out at $330 and easily sold out after the line up was announced in January.
Blur and The Stone Roses, who recently reunited after a long hiatus, will start up the weekend as Friday's headliners.

Phoenix, which has a new album coming out this spring, will take Saturday's primetime spot.
Los Angeles rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers, who previously headlined the festival in 2003 and 2007, will close out the festival in the Sunday headlining slot.
Music fans will be sure to catch their favourite acts as the same bands are set to play on both weekends.

Other anticipated names on the line-up this year include hip hop collective Wu-Tang Clan, Icelandic indie band Sigur Ros, Grammy nominees The Lumineers and electro-rock music group The Postal Service.
Previous years have seen acts such as Prince, Kings of Leon, Beastie Boys, Madonna, Muse, Pixies, Jay-Z and Kanye West take the headlining slots.
Last year, hip hop veterans Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre grabbed headlines as they resurrected late rapper Tupac via hologram on stage for the closing night of the festival.
