Matt Damon and wife Luciana 'to renew wedding vows this weekend'
The
42-year-old actor and Argentine-born Luciana Barroso, 36, are said to
be planning a star-studded celebration at the Sugar Beach resort in St.
Lucia attended by friends including Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.
Matt wed Luciana in a small no-fuss ceremony in 2005 at New York's City Hall, but they never had a big wedding.
The couple have gone on to
raise four beautiful daughters together, Isabella, six, Gia, four,
two-year-old Stella, and Luciana's daughter Alexia, 14, from a previous
relationship.
The Promised Land star has reportedly rented out the entire hotel for the weekend's festivities, which is costing him around $1 million, has reported.
It's said that many big names have been invited, including George Clooney, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones along with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
It was recently claimed that the couple had used an alias to hire out the resort.
One staff member said: 'The hotel was booked under a different name to Damon.
'We were told that it was a Mr. and Mrs. Naff getting married.
'We then heard that it was Matt Damon and they had been using a false name to stop their secret being found out.
'He was here two months ago to have a look around. A big yacht moored by the beach and he came into the resort.'
The actor 'is renting out all
78 rooms of the Sugar Beach resort for a week in April. He’s flying in
guests from around the globe... It’ll cost him $1 million,' a source
told Life & Style.
Matt and Luciana first met in 2003 at a bar in Miami, Florida, where the actor was shooting the comedy Stuck on You.
'We ended up at a bar where my wife was the bartender. I literally saw her across a crowded room,' Matt recalled.
'I don’t know how else our paths would have crossed if that didn’t happen,' he added.
'The moral is that when you’re tired, suck it up and go to the bar because you might meet your wife.'
