'Initially fostered by me from the amazing @theedwardfoundation but I knew I couldn't let him go, he was a keeper.

'A nine-year-old boy who'd had a pretty rough life and was riddled with health issues.

'But I hope we gave him the best last one and a half years of his life (with huge thanks to Clare HB at the end) despite his dementia and general bonkersness like eating soil and barking at walls…

The star went on to share some facts about her dog, revealing he's just three-years-old and his diagnosis is similar to her late dog Dexter who died at the age of four three years ago.

'I already lost Dexter at the age of four - the treatment that was supposed to save him, effectively killed him,' she explained.

'I can't bear the thought of this sh*t show,' Ulrika continued. 'I know someone out there is suffering considerably worse shows of sh*t. But what are the chances that I face losing a second? Boy.

'My emotions are loaded. Weirdly woke up this morning in a good mood. When does that happen?'

'And then when it came to administering the stuff, I was welling up; began to lose my nerve; questioned everything.'
