Wild female driver, 27, is accused of running over two cops - before leading police helicopter on a terrifying 170km/h chase as officers are rushed to hospital
A female driver has been arrested and charged after allegedly ramming two police officers with her car before leading cops on a terrifying high speed chase through Melbourne streets.
Victoria Police were called to conduct a welfare check on the woman, 27, at Ballarto Road in Seaford, southeast Melbourne, at about 2.40pm on Tuesday.
But when the officers arrived, the woman allegedly used her silver Ford to pin one policeman against a wall, before running over the foot of a policewoman and fleeing the scene at speeds of up to 170km/h.

The 27-year-old driver, from Fairfield in northeast Melbourne, is accused of fleeing the scene and driving away at speeds up to 170 km/h.
Officers trailed followed the woman's 40km trail through the city for an hour using police helicopter, Sunrise reported, before using a spike strip to puncture the car's tyres at about 3.35pm in Burwood, east Melbourne
She then crashed into a tree, allegedly fled the scene on foot and hid in the backyard of a nearby house where she was discovered and arrested.
She was charged with intentionally causing serious injury, reckless conduct endangering life and assault related offences.
The woman was also hit with four counts of intentionally exposing an emergency worker to risk driving.
She was remanded and set to appear at Melbourne Magistrates court on Wednesday.

Both injured police officers were taken to hospital for treatment.
Victoria Police Inspector Paul Cripps said he had spoken to the officers and they were 'in good spirits'.
'One officer is going to have some very severe bruising to his legs and the other has got some fractures to her foot,' he explained.
He also criticised the 27-year-old for endangering other drivers on the road.
'People need to understand that driving motorcars should be a privilege, it's not a right,' Insp Cripps said.
'People driving like idiots put other people at risk and kill people.'
