This is the shocking moment a man pulled out a knife and cut a woman's thumb off during a street row in front of horrified onlookers.
Footage has circulated online showing an unnamed man and woman in a street brawl, believed to be in Middleton, Manchester.
The argument escalated dramatically when the man, who had red hair and wore a white hooded jumper, pulled out a kitchen knife.
The woman stood her ground as she shouted at the man but he launched himself forward and slashed at her hand - cutting her thumb off.
She still refused to give in as he threatened to stab her during the terrifying altercation.

A photograph shared underneath the video showed blood pouring from a large cut made across her palm.
At the start of the 41-second clip the woman, who wore a purple workout ensemble, told the man: 'Don't you ever, ever, ever, because you're watching him.'
It is unclear what the argument was about, but the man said: 'I looked at the window because he walked past.'
Suddenly she launched a flurry of punches on top of the man, who responded by running backwards and pulling out a knife from inside his clothing
He said: 'What's good you f***ing little muppet.' He then jumped forwards and delivered a brutal blow with the knife, slashing the woman's hand
As he made off out of the camera shot she continued to shout at him, saying: 'I'm ready. All I've got is a duster and a chain. I'm ready. Ready when you are.' Blood poured from her hand
She then said: 'Listen, listen, don't. F***king listen.' Suddenly she launched a flurry of punches on top of the man, who responded by running backwards and pulling out a knife from inside his clothing.
He said: 'What's good you f***ing little muppet.' He then jumped forwards and delivered a brutal blow with the knife, slashing the woman's hand.
He added: 'I'll stab you now you little muppet.'
