A glamorous nurse has been suspended by a Queensland medical watchdog, nearly three years after she was criticised for wearing blackface.
Sophie Mariah Applegarth, who worked at the Royal Brisbane Womens' Hospital, was suspended on September 25, according to the state's Health Ombudsman.
Ms Applegarth also works as a model signed with Chic Model Management, but had been working at the hospital since July last year.

Her suspension will remain until the 'Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets the decision aside' or it is revoked, the Ombudsman said.
Ms Applegarth has a large following on social media but recently deleted her Instagram account that had more than 20,000 followers.
In December 2017, the young model made headlines when she was seen wearing blackface at a fancy dress party.

Ms Applegarth and a friend proudly dressed up as tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams, painting their bodies and faces brown.
After her controversial Instagram posts, Ms Applegarth shared a 'disclaimer' with her followers.
'Disclaimer — I had no "racist" or malicious intent by the photos I just uploaded,' a post read.
'We were praising our fav sports stars Serena and Venus Williams. Did not mean to offend.'
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Ms Applegarth and the Health Ombudsman for comment.
