That's got to hurt! Melissa McCarthy falls flat on her face

Her hilarious turn as a supporting cast mate in the 2012 box office hit Bridesmaids earned her more than an Oscar nomination.
And Melissa McCarthy once again won over the attention of America and its famous sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live.
On Saturday night, the comedienne hosted the show for her second time.

For her cold open, the 42-year-old actress painstakingly made her way down a small flight of stairs wearing a pair of sky-high, red glitter platforms.
Exasperated by the treacherous walk in her shoes, she joked: ‘I should have tried these shoes on.’
Using her great skill for physical comedy, Melissa reached for a chair behind the sax player to use as a walker.

In an attempt to push it away to stand on her own, she performed a stage fall, saying, ‘This smells like a lot of musicians,’ once she’d landed on the ground.
The actress quipped that she truthfully isn’t used to heels: ‘I’m primarily in a Croc, which is a… just a little different pitch from what I’m doing right now, but I just really wanted to get all gussied up for you guys and, like, put on a big show.’
Melissa did just that.

She also played a sweet blonde for Million Dollar Wheel, turning over every wrong letter.
Her Barb Kellner in the following skit was interested in a loan for a ‘pizza-eating business,’ which had the actress shovelling old pizza into her mouth – harkening back to her first time hosting SNL in which she poured Hidden Valley Ranch dressing all over her face.

Also making surprise guest appearances on Saturday’s episode were former basketball player Dennis Rodman and Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage.
