In 2012 she opened up about how she suffered a nervous breakdown after she became a victim of a vicious stalker.
But after falling in love, Holby City star Rosie Marcel has now married the man she credits for helping her move on from her ordeal.
The 35-year-old actress and new husband Ben Stacey, 30, wedding took place at Las Vegas' Bellagio Hotel in a ceremony which Marcel described as 'crazy' and 'silly'.
'We wanted a crazy, silly wedding with a bit of showbiz that’s all about having fun.'
Rosie and Ben met following the flame-haired beauty's battle against online stalker Sarah Rumbelow, who is currently serving a prison sentence.
After
a bitter legal battle, Rosie finally found justice, but was left with
the emotional scars of the torment - which included death threats,
relentless attacks via email and on social networking sites.
In making the step towards rebuilding her life, Marcel asserted that Ben had helped her cope with Rumbelow's hate filled campaign.
Revealing the words that made up her speech at the wedding, Marcel said: 'I thanked him for that and for loving me so much.'
Previously opening up about Ben being her support system, Marcel said: 'He is responsible for putting happiness back in my life when I was going through a terrible, terrible time.
'Ben also helped me feel better about myself when I had lost all my self-confidence.'
