I don't speak to my parents anymore': Troubled Amanda Bynes

She's been on a downward spiral of late with her increasingly erratic behaviour.

And now it appears Amanda Bynes is shutting out those who love her.

The 27-year-old tweeted on Thursday that she no longer has contact with her parents after they  expressed concern about their daughter's well-being.

The actress tweeted: 'I don't speak to my parents anymore, they don't talk to reporters on my behalf. Don't believe anything you read about me unless I tweet it.'

Amanda may have been referring to her mother's alleged angry response to Kim Kardashian's comments about her daughter on a recent episode of Chelsea Lately.

'Am I the only one that is obsessed with her new makeover?' said Kim on Monday while chatting with Chelsea Handler. 'I think she looks amazing. With the blonde hair and those nails?

But Amanda's parents were said to have found the comments to be in 'poor taste.'

A source told  'Amanda’s parents hope that people, including Kim, would show empathy towards their daughter at this time. Even if Kim was joking about Amanda’s appearance, it really isn’t funny. Amanda is in trouble and she doesn’t need to be a punchline in a joke.'

The star's worried family are said to be trying to get her to leave New York and move closer to them in Los Angeles.

But the disturbed star is apparently refusing to move back to the West Coast to allow them to keep a closer eye on her.

Her parents allegedly don't know what to do as Amanda has cut contact with everyone since she moved from Los Angeles to New York following some legal trouble and to pursue her dreams of becoming a fashion designer.

The actress, who was once a bright young star of Nickelodeon, has reportedly settled two hit-and-run cases after reaching a civil compromise with her victims, saving herself from a potential 12 months in jail.

Still the move to New York didn't get her out of hot water.

On Tuesday, staff members at a hair salon in New York City where Amanda had her hair done were allegedly forced to call the police in order to get two officers to man the doors outside of the premises for when she left. 
The Queens-based hairdresser told the website that she believed that Amanda was 'under the influence of something'.
'I feel sorry for her,' the stylist told Radaronline.com. 'I don’t know what she was on exactly, but she was definitely on something.'

TMZ reported earlier this year that Amanda was evicted from her apartment for being a 'building nuisance', as neighbours apparently complained about smelling marijuana smoke from her abode.

InTouch also accuses her worrying staff at New York City's W Times Square hotel during a recent stay.

'She'd come down to the lobby wearing a different wig each day,' an 'eyewitness' said, adding that in one instance she was 'found curled up in the corner of the gym smoking — with no pants on!'
