Hit and a miss! JWoww takes the plunge in low-cut pleather gown

She's known for her outrageous Jersey Shore sense of style, but it looks like JWoww made an effort to glam it up for the 2013 Logo NewNowNext Awards.
Yet, what was meant to be a hit appeared to be more of a miss as the plunging gown she wore on Saturday at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, California seemed to be made from a tacky pleather material.
Posing on the purple carpet, the 27-year-old Snooki & JWoww star tried to be the epitome of chic, smiling modestly and posing with her left hand on her hip, as to show off her engagement sparkler.

But, the shiny, tacky material of her frock distracted from what could have been her fashion moment.
Lowering the appeal of the dress was the embellished band that wrapped around Jenni 'JWoww' Farley's waist, with the same cheesy material covering her back in the form of straps that didn't quite fit right as one bulged above her tailbone.
Her tattoo was revealed on her left shoulder, as the Jersey Shore alum's ombre hair was styled back into a half ponytail that poofed at the top to add some volume.

Interest rate cap on credit union is raised

Credit unions will go head-to-head with payday lenders after the Government announced it would raise the cap on interest charges so that unions do not make losses on short-term loans. The Treasury yesterday confirmed it will introduce legislation that from April 2014 would raise the interest rate ceiling on credit union loans from two per cent to three per cent a month following a consultation with lenders. Three per cent a month works out at APR of 42.6 per cent. Currently, restrictions on interest rates mean that while unions can make decent returns on long-term loans, loans of a similar length to those offered by payday lenders tend to operate at a loss. Helping hand: Short-term credit union loans will be more expensive, but more sustainable for unions and still well cheaper than payday loans.
