And Ryan Phillippe proved his gruelling gym sessions are well and truly paying off as he showed off his bulging biceps while leaving a fitness studio in Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old actor drew attention to his chunky arms with a sleeve of tattoos and a bright white vest as he emerged from his workout.

Looking utterly focused as he made his way to his parked car, the Straight As star positively smouldered as he paraded his buff body for all to see.

 

The father-of-three kept his gym look casual by teaming his vest with a pair of loose-fitting black shorts, trainers and a Philadelphia Phillies baseball cap.
But the star seemed to be so distracted by his mobile phone that he left the gym with his backpack completely open as he made his way to the car.

It could be that Ryan is working on his muscles in a bid to impress reported new girlfriend, Twilight actress Ashley Greene, 26.
The rumour mill went into overdrive when the hot couple were spotted leaving Vignette Lounge in West Hollywood together last week.
Ryan has two children with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon and a daughter with model Alexis Knapp, and was most recently linked to college student Paulina Slagter, 21.

Meanwhile, Ashley's last relationship was with singer-songwriter Reeve Carney, who she split from five months ago.
The actress - whose Los Angeles condo went up in flames after an accidental fire last Friday - has previously admitted she struggled in the past to find a stable relationship because of the nature of the industry she works in.
She said: 'Dating is a hard, hard thing when you have this job. Sometimes I wish I could just go back to Florida and, like, date my home-town boyfriend.'
