A man has appeared in court after being accused of murdering a newlywed who fell to her death for Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh days after her wedding.
Kashif Anwar, 27, was face with the charge of murdering Fawziyah Javed, 31, when he appeared in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.
Anwar, whose address was given as West Yorkshire, made no plea and he was remanded in custody.
The case was continued for further examination and Anwar is expected to appear back in court within eight days.

The court appearance comes four days after Mrs Javed died after falling from the landmark in Scotland's capital.
The trainee solicitor, from Pudsey, West Yorkshire, was believed to holidaying in Scotland with her husband when she fell at around 9pm on September 2.
Family and friends paid online tributes to the popular woman following the incident in Edinburgh.
Zareef Zaf Latif posted: 'Fawziyah, our precious niece taken away from us way too soon. Have so many memories of you as a little girl. Will miss you so much.
'May Allah grant you a special place in Jannat. I hope the angels take care of you until we meet again.'

It is thought that Ms Javed, who worked at Lyons Davidson Solicitors in Leeds, was in the early stages of a pregnancy before the incident at the Scottish landmark last week. Police are treating her death as suspicious
Arfan Arfy wrote: 'Lovely amazing gem of a lady, she will be truly missed.'
And Sandra Barraclough added: 'Fly high gorgeous, you and your baby will be forever happy.'
Mrs Javed's employers Davidson Lyons Solicitors said she was a valued member of the team and will be greatly missed.
It told the Daily Record: 'Fawziyah Javed had a bright start to her legal career at Lyons Davidson Solicitors, working as a paralegal in employment, training with the business and then qualifying as an Employment Solicitor in March 2020.

'She made a great impression with both her colleagues and customers winning Newcomer of the Year in 2016 and in July of this year was again recognised for the support and assistance she gave other teams during the pandemic.
'Fawziyah was a successful lawyer, a great colleague, and a good friend to many in the business. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.'
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'We received a report that a woman had fallen from Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh, around 9pm on Thursday, 2 September.
'Emergency services attended including the fire service and ambulance.
'The 31-year-old woman died at the scene a short time later and her death is being treated as suspicious.
'A 27-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.'
