Woman, 29, is killed and two others are fighting for life after BMW smashed into digger in Essex in horror collision
A 29-year-old woman has been killed and two others are fighting for their lives after a horrific crash that saw a BMW smash into a digger in Essex.
The women, who is believed to have been a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday. A 23-year-old man has been arrested.
Police were called to the scene of the crash on the A138 near Chelmsford in Essex at around 3.10 a.m. today.

The black BMW 3 series vehicle had crashed into a construction digger on the A-road, with photos showing the wreck of the car turned on its roof.
The entire front of the vehicle was crushed, the pictures showed, while a number of wheels had come off their axles. The roof was also caved in underneath the car.
Door from both sides of the car had to be removed by firefighters as they rescued the passengers from the wreckage, that was almost unrecognisable as a car.
A digger could also be seen in the background of the pictures showing the car as police officers investigated the scene.

Essex Police said that a man and a woman - believed to be the driver of the car and a second passenger - have been taking to hospital with serious injuries, according to The Sun.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while unfit, the police also said in a statement posted at midday on Saturday.
'A dark BMW 3 Series car was reported to have been in collision with a construction digger,' the statement read. 'A 29-year old woman, believed to have been a passenger in the car, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses to the crash, or anyone who may have dashcam footage, has been requested by the police to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
