Sarah Palin hints that she will run for Senate in Alaska in 2022, telling conservative Christian conference: 'If God wants me to do it I will'

Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, recently announced that she may return to the political arena, this time in a bid for Senate in 2022 against incumbent Lisa Murkowski.

'If God wants me to do it I will,' Palin told a conservative Christian crowd on July 22 in Pasadena, California, after New Apostolic Reformation leader Ché Ahn asked her if she was planning on running for the Senate seat.

'What I would do if I were to announce is say you know what, you guys better be there for me this time because a lot of people weren't there for me last time and that's why characterization-wise, I got clobbered,' Palin said.

Palin, 57, also defended her decision to hand the reigns to Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell when she resigned as governor after three years in 2009. She said holds the same conservative values that she does and would continue her legacy.

Palin, 57, also defended her decision to hand the reigns to Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell when she resigned as governor after three years in 2009

After she and presidential candidate John McCain lost in 2008, Palin said she was inundated with ethics probes, FOIA requests and media criticism that ultimately led her to resigning as governor of Alaska.

'The Obama administration sent their flying monkeys,' she said. ' . . . it stalled our administration. Every e-mail, every conversation was scrutinized. So, there's a difference between quitting and saying enough is enough.'

Palin stayed out of politics and under the radar following her resignation, but came back into the public eye in March 2020 when she was revealed as the Bear on an episode of Fox's The Masked Singer.

The Alaska self-proclaimed 'hockey mom' stumped the entire panel after performing the blatantly sexual 1992 hip hop song Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot.

She also noted that Kelly Tshibaka, the commissioner of the Alaska Department of Administration, is already a contender in the Senate race representing female Republicans. She said, 'Kind of the scary thing about it is I've been in politics seems like all my life in Alaska and I never heard of her so that kind of made me hesitant.'

Tshibaka has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump, who made clear his disdain for incumbent Lisa Murkowski because of her vote to convict him on charges of inciting an insurrection by stoking the flames that led up to the January 6 Capitol riots.

Palin also gave a lengthy religious rant, in which she warned the audience that America is 'rapidly changing' by liberals who want to strip it of its biblical values.

'Americas was dedicated to God,' she said. 'Our charters of liberty are written about and to God and if those today who are running the show and deny that and want to change that, they're stripping away our foundation.'

Ché Ahn, who's also the founder of HIM, has previously voiced his support for former President Donald Trump and appeared at a religious pro-Trump rally last fall called 'The Return,' according to Right Wing Watch.

Around the same time, he launched 1RACE4LIFE, a group designed to 'united all races and cultures within the Body of Christ' to bring about 'the end of abortion on a local, state, and national level,' 'defend biblical family values in our homeland,' and 'partner with heaven's agenda to bring reformation to society and revival to our land.'

After Palin's interview, New Apostolic Reformation 'prophet' Cindy Jacobs said a prayer in support of her political career and told her that the church would stand by her this time around.
