Mariah Carey has lead the stars throwing their support behind Britney Spears, following the singer's bombshell testimony amid her conservatorship battle. 

On Wednesday, Britney, 39, begged a Los Angeles judge to free her from a court-ordered conservatorship that has given her father Jamie control over her life and $60 million fortune for the last 13 years.  

And Mariah, 51, was joined by the likes of Mandy Moore, 37, and singer Halsey, 26, in applauding the singer for her 'bravery' and urged her to 'stay strong'.

Meanwhile Mandy posted to Instagram: 'The abuse she has suffered at the hands of an institution meant to protect her is staggering, heartbreaking and shameful,' Mandy Moore posted to Instagram.

'I applaud her bravery and transparency,' the This Is Us star wrote, adding the hashtag #FreeBritney.

She also expressed disgust at the pop star's revelation that she has been forced to have a IUD contraceptive device fitted even though she wants another baby.

Destiny's Child Michelle Williams has also spoken out in support of Britney Spears after she asked an LA court to have her conservatorship revoked.

Appearing on The Morning Show on Thursday, the 41-year-old singer was asked about the pop star's statements regarding her conservatorship. 

'I didn't know the depth or the magnitude to what Britney has been facing and what she has been going through, so my heart truly goes out to her,' began Michelle.

'Britney was truly a favourite of mine. She was always so sweet whenever we would run into her when we were out on the road.' 

She added: 'Such a sweet smile and a true gift to the world, and I hope we're able to see more of her.'    

Britney's ex Justin Timberlake also urged a judge to free her following her earth-shattering testimony about her life under her father Jamie's conservatorship.

In a statement posted to Twitter, Justin, 40, - who famously dated Spears from 1998 to 2002 - said: 'After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was.' 

This comes just months after he publicly apologized for his actions during and after their relationship amid the release of the documentary Framing Britney Spears. 

The singer and actor went on: 'What’s happening to her is just not right. No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body.'

Posting a video to Instagram, she described herself as 'brutally angry' about the way the Toxic hitmaker has been treated.

In a message to Britney, she said: 'We hear you, we have heard you, I know the cost of control.'

In an emotional plea, the Toxic singer condemned the conservatorship, which has seen her father, Jamie, control her life and finances.  

'This conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good. I deserve to have a life,' she said, as stated in documents obtained by The New York Times. 

'I feel ganged up on. I feel bullied and I feel left out and alone... In California, the only similar thing to this is called sex trafficking, making anyone work against their will, taking all their possessions away, credit card, cash, phone, passport.'

Britney branded the conservatorship 'abusive' and said she feels like she's been living 'in a rehab program'.

One of the most sensational revelations from the hearing was that she's had a birth control device implanted in her body that she's not allowed to remove.   

'I want to have the "real deal", I want to get married and have a baby. I was told in the conservatorship I'm not allowed to get married or have a baby,' she added.  

After her speech which Judge Penny called 'courageous,' her attorney, Samuel Ingham told the court that Spears had not asked her to file a motion to end the conservatorship.
