True Aussie spirit:Kind stranger hands out $200 to a woman and her two daughters while they were out Christmas shopping
A kind stranger gave $200 to a mum and her two daughters while they were shopping as a surprise Christmas present.
The mum said they had just sat down for a rest in Morayfield Shopping Centre, north of Brisbane's CBD, when a woman approached them on Wednesday.
'A lady walked past us then stopped and came back to hand me a Christmas card. She said "Merry Christmas, don't throw it away" and kept walking,' she explained.
'My daughters and I opened the card, there was a beautiful message and $200.'

The mum shared a picture of the generous card and four $50 notes to social media.
'Hope this little gift helps to brighten your Christmas,' the card read.
The mum said she 'experienced Christmas spirit and generosity more than ever' thanks to the kind stranger.
'I was in shock, when we looked up she was gone so I didn't get to say thank you,' she explained.
'The girls could not believe it and I was very honoured that this lady choose me.
'I'm very grateful this showed my children that kindness and generosity is everything and is still alive.'
The mum hoped she would somehow be able to thank the woman for her kindness.
'You are a beautiful soul, I hope you have a Merry Christmas,' she said.
'You are an amazing and beautiful person.'
Commenters were quick to praise the stranger for the 'absolutely beautiful' gesture.
'There are some really lovely people around,' one user wrote.
'Brought tears to my eyes reading this,' said another.
'There are still beautiful people out there. Hope it makes your Christmas extra rewarding.'
