'I heard about this $10 ring light hack from Kmart. I thought I'd grab one, bring it home and give it a go,' he began in the video.

He unboxed the fan and showed off its three settings which would help when taking a photo for social media.

'It's a fan, a light, and another light,' Mr Jackson said as he switched it on.

Mr Jackson then placed the fan on his tripod and flipped the camera onto his face and showed how the light brightened up the footage.

The video received more than 16,000 likes as excited viewers mentioned they were headed to Kmart to purchase one.

'I'm going to buy this. Thank you for sharing,' someone wrote.

'I'm going to Kmart right now,' another commented.

'Ordered because my neighbours think I'm crazy filming in the window in the afternoon light,' one wrote.

Some however pointed out that the light drains the batteries pretty quickly.

'They're good but the batteries don't last more than about half an hour,' one shopper wrote.

'Battery doesn't last long at all,' another commented.
