Trump is joined by sons Eric and Don Jr. for a rare round of golf together after they take a break from Camp David Thanksgiving family reunion before returning on Marine One

President Donald Trump was joined by his eldest sons Don Jr. and Eric as he took a break from his family Thanksgiving getaway at Camp David on Saturday and returned to the golf course.

The president headed to Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, just a day after a federal judge he appointed refused his campaign's request to block Joe Biden from being certified as winner of Pennsylvania's electoral votes.

Trump saluted two Marines in dress uniforms as he climbed from Marine One, wearing his red golf jacket and red 'Make America Great Again' cap with the number 45 embroidered on the side.

This is the second day in a row he has visited the Virginia golf club as he enjoys his final Thanksgiving at the presidential retreat in Catoctin Mountain Park, Maryland, about 60 miles north of the White House.

He is joined in Camp David by all of his adult children, with Eric and Don Jr., who has just recovered from coronavirus, making a rare appearance on the golf course with him on Saturday morning.

Don Jr. had declared in an Instagram video on Wednesday night that he is now COVID-free and he would be spending Thanksgiving with his family, just five days after announcing he had tested positive.

'I got cleared, happy to be healthy and we get to spend Thanksgiving the way it's mean to to be,' he said.

Trump left the White House for his Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va., on Friday morning before taking Marine One to Camp David. He also got in 18 holes of his favorite sport on Thursday morning before his Thanksgiving dinner.

On Friday, Trump had continued his claims of election fraud on Twitter as he said that Biden had to prove his votes were not 'fraudulent' to enter the White House.

'Biden can only enter the White House as President if he can prove that his ridiculous “80,000,000 votes” were not fraudulently or illegally obtained. When you see what happened in Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia & Milwaukee, massive voter fraud, he’s got a big unsolvable problem!' he tweeted.

Yet later in the day, his campaign was dealt yet another blow when a federal appeals court rejected a request by to block Biden from being declared the winner of the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

It marked another significant setback to Trump's bid to overturn the results of the November 3 election.

Trump's lawyers vowed to appeal to the Supreme Court despite the judge´s assessment that the 'campaign's claims have no merit.'

'Free, fair elections are the lifeblood of our democracy. Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here,' Judge Stephanos Bibas wrote for the three-judge panel.

The three judges on the panel were all appointed by Republican presidents, and Bibas, a former University of Pennsylvania law professor, was appointed by Trump.

Pennsylvania certified Biden, who won the state's popular vote by more than 81,000 ballots, as its winner this week. Under Pennsylvania law, the candidate who wins the popular vote in the state gets all of the state's 20 electoral votes.

Trump won the state in the 2016 contest and was leading in the early vote totals this year. But Biden surged ahead when mail-in ballots were counted.

Yet, Trump has refused to concede to his Democratic rival and continues to claim, without evidence, widespread voter fraud.

On Friday night, he claimed that Biden's mail-in ballots appeared out of 'thin air'.

'The 1,126,940 votes were created out of thin air. I won Pennsylvania by a lot, perhaps more than anyone will ever know. The Pennsylvania votes were RIGGED. All other swing states also. The world is watching!' he wrote.

The case had been argued last week in a lower court by Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who insisted during five hours of oral arguments that the 2020 presidential election had been marred by widespread fraud in Pennsylvania.

However, Giuliani failed to offer any tangible proof of that in court.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann had said the campaign's error-filled complaint, 'like Frankenstein´s Monster, has been haphazardly stitched together' and denied Giuliani the right to amend it for a second time.

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals called that decision justified.

Trump spent a portion of his Thanksgiving holiday lashing out at his enemies and he earlier accused Twitter of fabricating its trending topics.

He took up his crusade against the social media platform on Friday morning, blasting it for suspending the personal account of Pennsylvania Republican state Senator Doug Mastriano, who convened Wednesday's hearing-style event in Gettysburg to examine the presidential vote in that state.

'Wow! Twitter bans highly respected Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano after he did a great job of leading a hearing on the 2020 Election fraud. They and the Fake News, working together, want to SILENCE THE TRUTH. Can't let that happen. This is what Communist countries do!' Trump tweeted before he headed to his golf course.

He also tweeted several news bites from OANN and Newsmax - two conservative news networks - that backed up his claim he won Pennsylvania and mocked Biden's viewership for his Wednesday Thanksgiving address.

And he retweeted several campaign-style videos that aide Dan Scavino had posted in the past few weeks.

All 50 states must certify their results before the Electoral College meets on December 14, and any challenge to the results must be resolved by December. 8.

Biden won both the Electoral College and popular vote by wide margins.

Trump's Thanksgiving visit to Camp David is rare as the president is not said to be a fan of the upscale retreat.

Camp David was built as a camp for federal government agents and their families by the Works Progress Administration in 1935.

In 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt converted it to a presidential retreat and renamed it 'Shangri-La', for the fictional Himalayan paradise in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British author James Hilton.

Camp David received its present name in 1953 from President Dwight D. Eisenhower, in honor of his father, and grandson, both named David. Eisenhower had the practice golf facility built at Camp David.

Other presidents have used the venue to host summits and world leaders.

Trump was going to hold the 46th G7 summit there on June 10–12, 2020, but it was cancelled due to health concerns during the COVID pandemic.

On Thursday night, longtime Trump aide Scavino posted a photo on Twitter of all the adult Trump children together outside Camp David and sitting around a fire pit.

In the picture, Kimberly Guilfoyle is next to her boyfriend Don Jr., Jared Kushner has his arm around his wife Ivanka Trump, Lara Trump sits in Eric Trump's lap, and Tiffany Trump is next to her boyfriend Michael Boulos.

The president spent the Thanksgiving holiday having dinner with his 'immediate family' on Thursday - the White House would not say who that all included.

But, in his Thanksgiving proclamation, President Trump encouraged Americans to gather and give thanks.

'I encourage all Americans to gather, in homes and places of worship, to offer a prayer of thanks to God for our many blessings,' he said in a statement despite the recommendations from the CDC to stay at home to lessen coronavirus spread.

And Trump's family offered their own holiday warm wishes before they headed to Camp David.

Ivanka, Eric and Lara took to social media to wish their followers a Happy Thanksgiving as COVID-free Donald Trump Jr spent the day with his family.

'Happy Thanksgiving,' Ivanka wrote in the caption of a family photo featuring her husband Jared Kushner and their three children - Arabella, Joseph and Theodore.

Lara also shared an image on Instagram showing her sitting in the back seat of a vehicle with Eric and their two children, Carolina and Eric Jr.

'We'll report back on how this goes. #HappyThanksgiving,' Lara wrote. They appeared to be taking a road trip, but it's unclear where they went for the day.
