They looked around for a few seconds before making a beeline onto the grass where they hung out for awhile with their caretakers.

In a Facebook post, the aquarium wrote: 'Magellanic penguins Tombo & Charlotte joined Izzy and Darwin to explore new sights and sensations—like grass under their webbed feet'.

The penguins also 'got exercise waddling from the Chicago Fire locker room to right past the goal line'.

'As you #StayHome and get ready for some football, visit the penguins at a Virtual Penguin Encounter—the perfect holiday gift to share with friends & family,' the aquarium's post says.

In response to special visit, Soldier Field wrote: 'The penguins are welcome to visit Soldier Field any time, we loved having them!'

The Magellanic penguin is named for the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, whose crew spotted it while sailing around the tip of South America during their attempt to circumnavigate the world in 1519.
