'This is the first time I've seen one there,' Ms Wallace told NT News.
'It was just sitting there, quite far out when we first got there but it just moved closer and we thought we should move the dogs away from the water's edge, they might make a nice breakfast.
'It is quite cool but it's a nice reminder we should be more vigilant in letting our dogs in the water.'
Renee Milatos also saw the crocodile on the beach and said it was soaking up the sun for five minutes.
Some beach-goers were seen rushing to get out of the water and away from the crocodile after it was spotted..
Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Department of Environment and Natural Resources for comment.
