Luol Deng is pretty good with the ball in his hands on the court, but apparently he likes football too.

The Chicago Bulls NBA star posted a picture of him wearing an Arsenal shirt on Instagram.

Deng has played in the NBA since 2004, where he has become a star for the Chicago Bulls.

He was named in the NBA All-Rookie first team in 2005 before going on to become a two-time All-Star (2012,2013).

Deng led Great Britain's charge at the Olympics on home soil in London last year.

The 28-year-old was hopsitalised in May after suspected meningitis and Chicago struggled in his absence as they lost 4-1 to Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.

Deng was born in Sudan before he and his family emigrated to Brixton in south London. He attended Blair Academy in New Jersey before playing at the famed Duke college.

Credit unions will go head-to-head with payday lenders after the Government announced it would raise the cap on interest charges so that unions do not make losses on short-term loans. The Treasury yesterday confirmed it will introduce legislation that from April 2014 would raise the interest rate ceiling on credit union loans from two per cent to three per cent a month following a consultation with lenders. Three per cent a month works out at APR of 42.6 per cent. Currently, restrictions on interest rates mean that while unions can make decent returns on long-term loans, loans of a similar length to those offered by payday lenders tend to operate at a loss. Helping hand: Short-term credit union loans will be more expensive, but more sustainable for unions and still well cheaper than payday loans.
