MoS Diary: Pippa's French resolution - avoid wild Paris nights

Pippa Middleton was conspicuous by her absence at a lavish Parisian party held in honour of Vicomte Arthur de Soultrait’s 31st birthday last week.
The Frenchman’s little brother Marcy got Pippa, 29, into trouble last year when he dragged her in front of TV cameras at Arthur’s 30th bash.

Their friend Romain Rabillard then heaped further embarrassment on Prince William’s sister-in-law by brandishing a gun as he drove Pippa to the Gare du Nord.
Even though her pals went, Pippa skipped last Wednesday’s party and stayed snuggled up in her Chelsea flat with new boyfriend Nico Jackson, 35.

 

Last week movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and his fashion designer wife Georgina Chapman, 37, announced that they have welcomed their first son into the world – but kept his name secret.

Now I can reveal that Harvey, 61, who has four daughters, and Georgina have named him after famous detective novelist Samuel Dashiell Hammett. ‘The baby has been named Dashiell Max Robert Weinstein,’ a close friend tells me. ‘Dashiell as in the author and Max after Harvey’s father.’
