MoS Diary: Cressida makes another royal friend, and this time it's King Charles

Prince Harry’s girlfriend Cressida Bonas has amused pals by becoming friends with a quirky pop star called King Charles.
The 24-year-old dancer was already a big fan of the dreadlocked singer – real name Charles Costa – before befriending him in person.

Drawn to royalty: Prince Harry's girlfriend Cressida Bonas, right, has struck up a friendship with singer Charles Costa who goes by the name King Charles, left
‘Cressida has a lot of time for Charles,’ says a pal. ‘She has developed a bit of a soft spot for him.
The joke about him being called King Charles is not lost on her Royal circle of friends.’

King Charles, 27, is currently touring the UK and played the Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Thursday.

Pop star Robbie Williams is certainly moving in aristocratic circles these days.
Following my revelation last week that the Take That singer is a close chum of Sarah Ferguson and her daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, I can now report that Lord Johnson Somerset, music-producer son of the Duke of Beaufort, is busy working on a new version of Robbie’s hit Be A Boy.
‘I’m in the studio remixing Robbie’s song,’ says the 48-year-old. ‘I really like doing it and the fashion  for remixing records will never die out.’

It’s all change at Royal nightspot Mahiki. It closed last week for refurbishment and will reopen as a restaurant called Rock Lobsta, Disco Bistro in the summer. The move comes after owner Piers Adam bagged ‘pop-up’ tycoon Carl Clarke to shake things up.
‘The top floor will have a New Jersey crab-shack feel to it. They are retaining the old Mahiki dance floor downstairs,’ says a friend of Carl. Prince Harry will be relieved.

Shoo-in: Sir Ben Kingsley said that he would love to be in the next 007 film
‘I would love to be in the next 007 film,’ says Ben, who reveals the secrets of playing a rogue in The Mail on Sunday’s Event magazine today.
If he bags a part, Ben will appear opposite Daniel Craig, who has signed up to play the spy for two more films. ‘Daniel is the perfect 007,’ says Ben, who this week won a lifetime achievement gong at the Asian Awards.
