Doing it for the girls! Sarah Cassidy, Emily Worton and Laura

Sarah Cassidy, Emily Worton and Laura Oakes were doing it for the girls on Saturday night, as the three female solo artists made it through the blind auditions on The Voice UK.
All with their own unique style of singing, the girls sang their way onto the teams of Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue and Will.i.am.
But it wasn't just the young females making an impression, as opera-singing duo Barbara And Carla also secured a spot in the upcoming battle rounds.

Secured: Emily Worton impressed Will, but he didn't let anyone know about it

18-year old Emily Worton took to the stage and sang Pulp's Common People while playing the guitar.
But throughout her performance Will.i.am shook his head and told the other judges 'Nah'.

However, as the final notes of the nineties track came to a close he suddenly pushed his button as Danny looked on with shock.
Upset with his mistake, Danny told Emily: 'The only reason why I didn't turn round is because I'm an idiot.'

'[Will] was playing tactics and said he wasn't going to go!'
Laughing at his sneaky plan, Will said: 'the first part was magical and flawlessly executed - I can see the dynamics and how you wanted to counter with the second half.'
'It was powerful at the beginning, powerful at the end it sounded so fresh.'

Jessie welcomed Sarah Cassidy, the former Miss Scotland who moved out of modelling as she 'wanted the whole package' that comes from being a performing artist.
After singing Al Green's Lets Stay Together, with a falsetto to rival Minnie Ripperton, Sarah had every judge push their button.
But it was Jessie's touching words about the music industry being 'a whole different game for a girl' that persuaded the Scottish singer to stick with the female judge.

Wedding singer Laura Oakes's covered Florence And The Machine's Spectrum.
And her powerful performance convinced The Script frontman to turn around, and give her a chance to sing on a bigger stage, where she's the main event, not the bride and groom.
Will.i.am showed his love for classical music by pushing his button for opera duo Barbara And Carla on The Voice UK.

Sadly some girls didn't have so much fun on their blind audition.
Alice Fredenham, Jessica Steele and Laura Prescott didn't get any of the judges pushing their buttons.
However, Karl Michaels and LB Robinson found their way onto the teams of Danny and Tom at the end of the BBC 1 talent competition.
