A Brooklyn publishing executive has been found dead in a Vermont river after she vanished while walking her golden retriever puppy, during a vacation at a picturesque riverside Airbnb.
Erika Greber Seyfried, vice president of digital strategy and consumer engagement at Penguin Random House, was last seen around 11am on Sunday as she set out to walk the seven-month-old puppy she shares with her husband, Elijah Seyfried.
The couple, both originally from Ohio, who married in July 2013, had been vacationing in Westminster, at a house owned by a local vintage fashion dealer, according to the Brattleboro Reformer.

'We've placed benches at many scenic and private spots at the river's edge for your enjoyment. In snowy winters we maintain these trails for cross country skiing & snowshoeing.'

Adam Silverman, Vermont State Police spokesman, told DailyMail.com that Seyfried was reported missing at 8pm on Sunday evening, when night fell and she had not returned from her walk.
'My understanding is that the victim of our incident here in Vermont is the publishing industry executive at Random House in New York,' he said.
He said that divers on Monday found a body in the river, and believe her death to be accidental.
The pool where rescue worker focused their search is upstream from the notorious Twin Falls, also on the Saxtons River, where more than a dozen people have drowned while swimming over the past decades, the paper reported.
The body is being transported to the office of the Vermont Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to confirm the identity and determine the cause and manner of death.
The investigation into the death is continuing.
The dog Seyfried left with has not been found, according to members of the agency familiar with the investigation, who spoke to NBC 5.
Seyfried joined Penguin Random House 13 years ago, according to her LinkedIn.
She graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati with a MA in English Literature.
Penguin Random House are yet to respond to DailyMail.com's request for comment.
